Present for the meeting were: Lewis & Connie Maynard, Shirley Lyson,
Henry
Clay, Bill Beach, Becky Kreager and Debby Franks.
The meeting was called to order at 7:25 by Debby.
Debby didn't have time to make copies of the crime summery but everyone
had
time to look the summaries over.
Lewis made a motion to accept February minutes as typed with Henry seconding
the motion. Motion passed.
There is $139.44 in the treasury. Henry made a motion to accept
the
treasury
report, with Lewis seconding the motion. Motion passed.
Old Business
There has been very little response on newsletter information.
Tri-County Project Red (rural education days) is on April 2 at Eastern
Market
in Detroit. We have to be there by 8:00 AM. Lunch is provided.
There has
been a large number of schools to sign up for the so Farm Bureau is
increasing the number of stations for the kids. Our job is to
patrol the
area and to introduce the horses to the kids. Henry, Bill, Lewis
and I are
planning on attending. If interested in attending please let
me know.
Poker ride is June 7 at Sanford Park. Mark your calendar.
Debby will have
flyers ready before the 4-H tack sale in April. We always put
them on the
vehicles in the parking area.
Spring roundup (4-H horse show) is May 10. Volunteers to help
with the
first
aid are always appreciated.
New Business
May 3 will be our spring obstacle training day. It will be at
the Maynards
at 2:00. Potluck, bonfire and live music that evening at usual.
Visitors
are welcome.
Jim English is planning to have a get together this summer/late fall
for his
residents at Whittaker Oaks and has invited us to attend. Its
to let the
residents and our group to get to know each other and to have fun.
