Old Business

The Lincoln Methodist Church sent our group a thank you for
helping with the parking when the circus was at the church. It
reads as follows: "I wish to thank you for myself and for the
Lincoln Community united Methodist Church for the Professional way
the Mounted Patrol handled parking at the Circus. I was concerned
about the parking but I did not need to be with the Mounted Patrol
on the job. Be sure to extend our appreciation for a job expertly
done to each member." Well done group.

4-H Youth Fair is next week and we still need volunteers for
the First aid booth.

We discussed another Insurance company at the meeting.
Insurance was tabled until the next meeting to see if we could get
any info on other companies and to think about the offers from the
two we know of. The company we've been with dropped covering
equine and we were offered a policy with another Calvert Insurance
Co. Info on that company is in last months minutes. The other
company is Horseman's Ass. Ins. with a Premium of $300 adding on
other costs ( my tape recorder didn't work so I didn't get all of
this written down as I had to leave the room for a few minutes)
including new membership fee making the total costs $425 per year.
Covers the same number of events, costs for additional events are
$55 per day for $500,000 and $40.00 for $300,000. The Horseman
Company has fewer loopholes. Karen made the motion to table this
until next meeting and Debbie seconded it. Motion was passed. Just
a reminder we are now without insurance.

Debbie is going to make copies of the liability act which Bill will
laminate so we can display it at all public functions.

By the next meeting the paperwork for our being a non-profit group should be done.

Liz was able to get yellow paper to put our ID cards on so is
retyping them on the yellow. Debbie can take pictures and reduce
them on her computer so we can have our pictures on the cards.
When they get those two things done Bill can laminate them.

It looks like First aid training will be in September. It'll
still be held on two Monday nights.

New Business

It was decided that we would enter as many parades as possible
and if you don't want to ride in them you don't have to. The number
riding in the parade doesn't matter either. It doesn't have to be a big group.

National Neighborhood Night out is August 6, 6-10 pm. We
decided to ride from our homes meeting at the Whittaker Fire
Station by 6pm. Then we'll ride into Willis. Lisa knows our plans
and will coordinate a time for the Sheriff to join us. They'll be
joining all the groups for a short time that night. Different
routes were suggested but no decision was made. hope to see all
members there in your shirts.

Debbie has found a place to order shirts. If she gets a order
of 20 or more the price is $15 for a polo shirt and $7.30 for a T-
shirt. This can be a combination of any shirt. Debbie can you get
the muscle T shirt? I hate sleeves. Call Debbie to place a order
587-3805.

50/50 raffle was won by Lewis Maynard who donated his
winnings back to the group. Treasury is $26.80.

I let the group know that to get an American Flag donated by
the American Legion a request has to be submitted. Before I could
get the request written Lewis's Uncle Jerry not only got us a
parade flag donated by the American Legion but a State flag and the
Vietnam Vets donated a POW flag.

At 8:50 Henry made a motion to adjourn and Liz seconded it. The motion passed.
