Fundraising:
Lynn checked with the community center at the school
about their yard sale. They are on hold awaiting word on
financing so there are no plans for a community yard sale at the
moment. We are still looking for a good location to have an ATMP
yard sale.
Lewis suggested we do a casino night at the
WFCG. It was suggested we go to one being held there to see how
it goes. Lewis will find out more.
Rachel & Kristi told us about a trail ride being held June 2 to
raise money for Horses Haven. $20 per person.
Kristi talked about the CERT training being offered to us by the
township fire chief. This is funded by a grant from the
state. It is citizen emergency rescue training. Some of us
are very interested in this. When Kristi has more information she
will let us know.
The Michigan Horse Council will be selling a book on emergency rescue
of horses and other animals for $25 at the Stallion Expo.
New Business
The Stallion Expo is in Lansing March 9-11. As in the past we
have ben invited to take part in the color presentation all three
days. Also I am managing the South barn all three days and will
need someone to relieve me Friday and Saturday about 11:30 until
1:00 or 1:30 while I am riding in the color
presentation. If planning on riding in this your horse has to
have a current negative coggins (current means this year).
Spring training date is May 5. If you have any ideas for news
things to put before the horses let us know. I have bought a 8 ft
blow up snowman and a snow globe that is over 8 feet tall.
On January 12 the Murphy's, Henry and Bill caught two loose horses on
Judd and McKean. The horses were a palomino and a chestnut
TWH. When they couldn't find the owners they took the horses to
Henry's place. That afternoon I received a call from the Fire
Chief, Vic and was able to tell him we had already caught the
horses. I called the owners and gave them Henry's number.
Their names were Isaac and Marie Matthews. It was decided we need
to write down the information any time we catch loose animals.
Next meeting March 14 at Henry's.
Kristi made a motion to adjourn at 7:41 with Allyson seconding
it. Lewis opposed . Motion passed.
The MHC will have a trail ride this fall at Pontiac Lake, Sept 21
-23. If interested in camping email PLHANEWS@aol.com (Susie
Sulla).
The Novi Expo has been canceled. The MHC is looking into other
places to have a fall expo.

Old Business
The yard sale is on hold lacking a place to hold it. Maybe in the
fall.
One of the Augusta Township fire volunteers will be certified this
spring to teach CPR and First Aid. He has said he would recertify
our group. There will be a fee but that is normal. There
has been lots of changes in CPR.
While at the Stallion Expo Lewis and I bought a book on rescue of large
animals. Anyone wishing to see it may borrow the book.
The color presentations went real well. I would like to thank
Henry for relieving me on Friday afternoon and Mike & Annette
Dielhman for Saturday afternoon. That was the only way I could
ride in the color presentation. Thank you Henry, Mike and
Annette. I manage the south barn under the patrol name so the
patrol gets credit for helping the Michigan Horse Council.
New Business

you for catching their loose horses. Allyson, Lynn and Jim
Murphy, Henry and Bill all worked at catching and transporting the
